Is one person's junk another person's art? Repurposing cork for street art is pretty interesting. I shot this picture near Grand Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. This art installation has since been vandalized and is no longer there.

I have a particular distaste for junk being made into art just for "art's sake". We've all seen the "art" that looks like a pile of junk.
ReplyDeleteI DO like junk that is composed into something striking or beautiful or repurposed (say lining an entire wall with wine bottle corks - yes, extreme in volume) - but would produce a pretty cool "wallpaper".
Point being - I don't like piles of junk put together because it is alleged art. I like junk repurposed or when you first glance at it you don't realize it was made from "junk".
My 2 cents.
This Paul is a douche. He needs some great vintage furniture from www.brightpantry.com
